ASTM Certified

The ASTM DH standard requires the helmet to manage a higher level of impact energy, and also applies specific testing to the chinbar to ensure that you get the best protective capability possible for gravity-fueled riding.

Designed for Downhill

The Cage KinetiCore is engineered to the ASTM downhill standard, because riding at the limit requires advanced protective capability. The breakaway visor, magnetic buckle and 20 ventilation channels help keep you focused and cool, even on the most grueling courses.

Top-Rated Protective Capability

Lazer’s proven KinetiCore technology is the world’s first responsibly designed and fully Integrated Rotational Impact Protection technology that’s built directly into the helmet, instead of added on afterwards. The result is a lighter, cooler helmet with enhanced protective capability that won’t squeak, rattle or compromise comfort and airflow.

Happy with helmet purchase

"Perfect fit for my long oval head shape. Was having difficulty finding a good fit in other helmets. Was at lower end of xl per their size chart. Ended up going with a large based on online feedback and that was the right choice. Seems high quality and not too heavy. Shipped quickly, very happy with it"

Very light and has advertised

"It feels very nice and solid, it’s light and just like advertized BUT it’s horrible to wash has it’s basically a porus wrap and not like the other I’ve seen where it’s like a fully painted or colored plastic sheet that covers the helmet, here it’s just a wrap that ain’t perfectly placed and is hard to wash and not to peal off. Over all idk if I would buy again but I still like it and it fits perfectly with my bike and feels really good."

Nice comfortable fit

"Fits great, sizing accurate. Hope to never "have" to use it but so far it's feels super solid and stable on my head."

"It fits quite nicely. The color is just amazing! Now, I'm waiting for spring and summer to go out on the trails and try it out!"

Premium helmet with one flaw

"This helmet rules, but I've had one issue with it, and it has one design aspect I wish was different. First the good: This helmet breaths incredibly well and is extremelly quiet compared to a MIPS lined helmet. My last couple of full faces drove me absolutely insane after a day of racing or laps in the bike park. The fit is spot-on for my head. I love the magnetic buckle. It's hard for me to buy a helmet without one these days. 5/5 would recommend based on the actual riding experience. The not so good: Design: I really wish you could move the peak. I've had so many full face helmets with fixed peaks, and I just don't get it. Being able to store my goggles there would move this helmet to a 5/5 overall for me. Another reviewer said they did this because it's a break-away style, and that's just not true. Lazer's half-shell MTB helmets have breakaway visors, and they're adjustable with an incredibly usable range of adjustment to boot! I lent my Lazer half shell to a good friend recently who over the years has owned helmets from virtually every big manufacturer (TLD, Fox, 100%, Giro, etc etc) and he commented on how the different positions of the visor on the helmet was the best he'd ever seen. I don't understand why we can't get that feature on this premium full face offering. An actual issue: My pads just... fell out. They arrived in the box, clearly having fallen out of the helmet during shipping. The adhesive on the back of the velcro just didn't work, so almost all of them fell out. Luckily, I've had quite a few other Lazer Helmets, and each comes with 4 replacement pieces of velcro. I was able to replace the velcro pieces with what I had laying around and haven't had an issue since. I'm sure if I had emailed Lazer about it, they would have sent me extra velcro pieces to fix this (I've had great customer service experiences with Lazer), but it would've been nice if it arrived perfect from the get-go. I imagine this might have been a one-off issue or just a small batch of helmets. It wouldn't stop me from recommending this helmet to someone."

Nick (4/5)

huge sizing gaps

"great helmet (superb ventilation, easy to get on and off, light, safe) if it fits your head but the gap between the small and medium is enormous. the medium fits like a large or xl and the large fits like an xl or an xxl. forehead circumference may be accurate for sizing but for anyone without chipmunk cheeks this helmet isn't likely to fit"

Just 1 thing...Great Helmet Though.

"Good Ventilation. Very Light. True to Size. The Orange and White Doesn't Absorb the Sun. Has a Magnetic Lock on the Chinstrap. Before I bought the KinetiCore I did some reasearch. The one thing I did before I wore it was use some wax that I use on my motorcycle helmets. Apparently the white will get dirty where you can't really clean it off. So as a precaution I gave it a few applications of helmet wax. The only thing that is a hassle is for big goggles they don't fit well below the visor. Because the visor is fixed so it breaks away in a crash, you can't move the visor up to get a little more room to place large goggles. I like doing this while I'm on the lift or it's raining to keep from fogging up. It's not a deal killer but I have to pull my goggles outward to clear my chinguard then swing them to the back of my neck so I don't sweat all over them. Other than that I really like the helmet."

Small!

"Had possession less than 15 minutes. Size runs super small even after measuring to confirm fit before ordering. Returned for refund, which took a week to get."

Kelly M. (3/5)

Fits good the only thing

"Fits good the only thing is the padding on the inside slips off of the sticky parts of the inside of the helmet when you sweat."

MICHAEL M. (5/5)

Awesome

"Great fit, feels safe, confidence inspiring, AND I get to rep bombercrewmtb!!!!!"

Q&A

So what's the expectation of the helmet if I wreck and the Crumple Zones...crumple...protecting me, but then I wreck again and the foam is already crumpled? Am I sustaining the full-force of the wreck?
Yes. Land on your head, time for a new helmet
Do you make a camera mount for this helmet or do you have any recommendations on where’s the best place to mount one? Thanks
I put mine on top at the back of the helmet. It seemed to be flattest there. I have a knock off GoPro but it uses similar mounts. The visor is slightly in frame, just at the bottom but that doesn’t bother me.
